    A7N8X-E Deluxe - onboard sound ???

    A7N8X-E Deluxe -
    Im getting one of these babies and i wanted to know if the onboard sound (SoundStorm? / Dolby® Digital Audio) is better than my SB Live! 5.1 ?

    Also while im on the subject is it possble to use the 3rd IDE connector to plug in 2 extra devices WITHOUT using a RAID array?

    If you use the spdif then the onboard sound is better than SB Live.
    If you use analogue out probably about the same.

    I don't think that it has 3 IDE connectors .....
    If you mean on SATA, then you should be able to if
    1) they are SATA devices
    2) they are IDE but you use a compatible PATA>SATA adapter

    Thanks buff, yes i meant the 3rd SATA connector not IDE, my bad there.
