Aww CRAP!! I was just gonna order the mobo on ebuyer and its now outta stock and the cpu is coming tomorrow do you think it will come back in stock, I tried scan but its the same story there , I guess i should ring them up
Ok, rang them up and they said that they would ring me back.
Btw Scan has some interesting ASUS today only motherboards with my plan to try and unlock the cores on the athlon 5000+ and possibly overclock it, which one seems best they are around £55 each which aint that far from my original £49 mobo.
You will need to make sure that the motherboard has the SB710 or SB750 southbridge.
If you have an ATX case I would get the Asus M3A78-T which is on Today Only for around £56:

This motherboard was around £100 and has a very good IGP with dedicated RAM for the IGP!
The motherboard uses DDR2.
Since i no longer get free shipping with ebuyer this leaves me with a few problems with getting the ram.
CCL have 2gb Kingston ddr2 800mhz at £34.80 (free next day shipping)

Just wanna know if its worth it, its just that people here usually recommend corsair or cruicial.
Got the cpu, and psu
going to order the mobo from scan and just need the ram thats it
I've used Kingston in a number of previous builds, including a set of 12 office machines for a charity I used to work with. No issues with any of them.
Hmm, ginger6, I have heard about them but anyway how about this
GEIL 2GB DDR2 800 CL5.0 16 CHIP BRUSH ALUMINUM RETAIL £32.62 inc shipping
http://www.ginger6.com/components-me...l-p-29276.html
So should i get this or the kingston one thats on ccl, or something else?
Now Aria have this
2GB Crucial DDR2 6400
http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/...roductId=38585
Hmm now what??? Which to choose?
The Geil is better RAM and I have a few of the Geil 1GB PC2-6400 and PC2-5300 DDR2 DIMMS lying about still.
even better than the crucial one???
I have used Geil for years and I they make decent memory.
CCL have the same RAM for sale:
http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...id=gx22gb6400l
However Ebay maybe a better bet TBH!!
Edit!!
This PC2-6400 DDR2 RAM should do the job:

Also there is also this PC2-8500 DDR2 RAM too:

so geil it is then.
It has an aluminium heat spreader so it should be better i guess unless i'm missing something
fair enough the ebay ones are much better but i doubt they will reduce the price by much, might as well try but....
if they dont then out of the crucial or geil one, which is better, because i'm just confused now
edit: btw not heard much about dell are they good
