    Short Length Bluray Reader

I ordered a LG GGC-H20L for my HTPC but when it arrived I relaised it wasn't going fit due to my case ( Silverstone GD02) & my PSU (Thermaltake smartpower 700w modular).
    My existing DVDR/RW is a Samsung SH-223F & it is 17cm long.

Are there any short bluray readers/writers currently available that anyone can recommend?

    Re: Short Length Bluray Reader

I'm really interested in getting that case for a HTPC build soon but like you have had doubts as to what will fit, for example how high can the CPU cooler be? The max. length of the ODD? Possible issues of the ODD bay cover switch not aligning fully?

If I remember correctly, the expansion slots are full height aren't they?

Anyway, I don't know if this will be of any help? http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums...ic.php?t=46447

    Good luck with the search!

    Re: Short Length Bluray Reader

I think my solution is to get another psu that doesn't exceed 145mm in depth.

I currently have a dfi 9400 using igp, asus xonar slim & pci express dvb-t card. Yes, the slots are full height & my samsung dvdr/rw seems to align ok with the bay cover switch.

Its a good case. I had a full atx setup before this - an antec fusion remote max but this is much better.
