    £230 for cpu and mobo.

    Posting on behalf of a friend, he currently has an c2d e6300, with gigabyte ds3 mobo.

    Whats a worth upgrade from scan for £230...cpu and mobo only.

    What RAM does he have? It might be worth getting more too? 4GB can be had for £30 now

    Maybe just get a Q9550 or something if his motherboard is a P35?

    Running 4gb of OCZ reaper, clocked at stock speed (800mhz).

    Not much point upgrading mobo with that budget TBH. CPU RAM upgrade would be best IMO.

    Yeah - what's his current GPU? It might be worth just upgrading that if the computer is used pretty much purely for gaming.
