Yo everybody,
After much pkaying about trying to get my TwinMOS w/windbond memory to overclock to over 190 fsb, and trying everything I could to get it to work, I decided to sell my 512mb off, and change brands due to all the problems I've heard people having with them.
So what do you NF7-S owners use? and what problems have you encountered? or if anyone is using the TwinMOS w/wb then have you encountered any problems?

I'm using TwinMOS with Winbond PC3200 and I'm doing fine.

I'm using Crucial PC2700 overclocked to 400MHz. It's overall stable, but I get the odd hiccup.
Would increasing the voltage help?
Possibly, watch your case temps tho hot memory is bad memory, point a fan at them if u can....
I've got some copper heat-spreaders on my memory to help a bit :)
The system runs below 30c at all times, its all well cooled inside, but as much as I have tried, never any luck getting the fsb to run stable over about 190.
I've tried tweaking all sorts but no luck, and Im pretty sure its the memory due to the nature of the dumps
U tried slacking off the timings a bit?
Thought I replied early to this, but my posts not here, so I obiously didnt!
I have and it stabilises things, but its not even stable at full speed.
I just updated the BIOS too to see if that would help..... well, no idea if it has, when it passes all the system checks alright, and confirms my RAID array, it just goes black :(
Tried all the settings I can, no luck getting it to boot :(
Any ideas? I have set the boot sequence and all that stuff, and the SATA RAID set up runs and confirms the array, but when I ran a boot disk and tried to see the HD, it couldnt see it
So, any suggestions would be good, but otherwise I will just have to start a new thread!
Sorted itself out, after a long time playing about.....
what was the problem?
the only trouble i've had with twinmos memory was using the stuff with mtec chips dc,winbond chips should be fine dc @ 220+ 10,2,2,2.0
you think I should try those timings and slowly bring up the fsb?
The BIOS upgrade didnt make a difference :( so I am going to order some heat spreaders too to see if that helps at all.
worth a try i suppose,what voltages are you using?is the cpu overclocked?have you raised the chipset voltage?are you using 2 sticks of ram?if yes what slots are they in?
heatspeaders will make absolutely no difference at all,they actually decrease airflow around the chips but they do look nice
ive got twinmos 3200 and it wont do 200mhz even with 9,6,6,2.5

Tried that, and no luck, its a little more stable but still not usable at 200 fsb...
shall I try upping the RAM and CPU also?
2.9v is perfectly safe for ram so you can try that,what speed and voltage is the cpu currently running at?

dont you hate in when you could have sworn you replied to a thread only to check back and realise you didnt, very odd..... must be something to do with my bad sleeping habits
anyway, I tried those settings and it wasnt stable, so I dropped the fsb/ram ratio down so the memory is running about 340 and its now stable as anything, but that really sucks, seeing as the memory should be running at 400 :(
and further ideas?
what ram slots ae you using?it should be the 2 furthest away from the cpu.
you could try using one stick of ram see if that makes a difference.
otherwise the only things i can think of are faulty ram or a faulty dimm slot :(
you could also try setting the cas to 2.5
