Barton 2500 to 3200 How cheap can it be done?

I want to overclock a locked 2500 to 3200 for as cheap as possible but
im not sure which boards allow you to lock the pci and agp freqs while
    upping the FSB.

Do all Nforce2 boards allow that are there any specific boards i should
watch out for which dont do that?

Other then Nforce2 boards what others can do it? ive been told a KT600 will
    are there any others?

I want to do it for as cheap as possible so they dont have to be great boards
just one that can at least get up to 200 MHz FSB. So far the chepeast has
    been £46 inc vat

    cheers

kt600 boards don't have an agp/pci lock but can use a 6;2;1 divider, which keeps everything in spec @ 200fsb and just above.I used an asus a7v600-x the other day actually and for £45 it's a good feature packed board but performance wise its quite a way off a dual channel nf2 mobo,in fact in terms of mem bandwidth its a long way off a single channel nf2, personally i'd get an abit nf7 but i suppose its all down to what you consider more important...the highest performance or the most features such as sata, firewire etc.

I have a number of them running on Epox boards, either 8rda+ or 8rga+. Allows the fsb to be set to 200 without affecting agp-pci bus settings. Just pop it in, set fsb to 200 & bingo, XP3200. I remember buying a 'Dabs Value' nForce 2 mobo a while back, (turned out to be a Biostar) which did the same & was cheap as chips.

Thanks for the info esp on the KT600, will a KT400 have the right divider settings?

so far the best deal i have found is 37.60 inc VAT for a Biostar SoA nforce 2 ATX A L M7NCD, at DABS although i dont think its dual channel but its not
    so important.

Also an observation are memory prices really high right now? I would have
thought that by now 512 sticks would be £30. It doesnt seem as cheap as a
    couple of years back.

I never buy cheap boards, the Abit NF7S-2 is about £60 and worth it, then just change your FSB to 200 and whap, instant 3200 goodness....

This upgrade isnt for me, if it was i would buy a bit better quality stuff.
Its for a friend who doesnt want to spend much. Also i was thinking if
it works with the cheap stuff i could try and sell the kits on to make a bit of money.
