    A Final System Review

    Hi,

I'd just like a final opinion of a system I hope to build shortly. I'm looking for a nice stable system that runs windows 7.

    • Asus M4A79-T Deluxe - £127.94
    • AMD Phenom II X4 955 BlackEdition - £145.92
    • 1GB XFX HD 4890 Black - £183.40
    • 625W Enermax MODU82+ EMD625AWT - £92.97
    • OCZ 4GB Kit (2x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz/PC3-10666 Gold Dual Channel CL 9-9-9-26 - £55.06

I have a case, monitor and all the rest. The above are the only components I'm ordering.

Mainly, does the RAM work well with the motherboard & cpu? It's on the QVL so I would assume so... If there is something better and/or faster then I'd love a recommendation.

    Ideally everything totals sub £700.

That looks like a killer system to me. Top performing kit for the price.
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

If you do not want crossfire then get the following motherboard:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/GIGAB...770T-UD3P-MOBO

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/167782

You may want to consider these AM3 790FX based motherboards too:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/MSI-AM3-MOBO-790FX-GD70

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Gigab...-SATA-RAID-ATX

The MSI motherboard seems to have the best reviews AFAIK. I would have a quick scoot around the reviews to make sure though. I believe the MSI motherboards has 5 phase power and the others have 8 phase power although I could be wrong.

Here are some reviews from bit-tech of each motherboard:

Thanks for the points on the motherboard CAT, I don't think I will use crossfire so I'll have a look at those reviews.
