Was gonna do this via pm, but thought it was best to give you a bit of grattitude publicly.

Thanks for the advice on my upgrade buddy, been out of the loop for a while and it was nice to get an honest and good recommendation from somebody on a forum (they arent all bad...your living proof).

AM3 955BE now @ 3.72ghz stock voltage. (stock cooler for now..although cat, which cooler should i go for ? The freezer 64 pro ?

That is good overclock you got their BTW! Have you tried any stability tests yet(like OCCT) and what are the temperatures like at load?? I am just interested to know for future reference.

I ran a benchmark test my mate sent me called crystal mark ? What other programs should i be using to test its stability, as i mentioned before, been out of the game for a while...its just, 3.72ghz @ stock voltage...its given me the bug again and i want more lol.

The temps sitting @ around 40 atm after a benchmark test, and my rooms fecking boiling for some reason !

what programs best for reading temp in windows ? speedfan always seemed inaccurate to me. Ive been turning off and checking it via bios lol.

Can only see a memory benchmark test in everest ?

Il try that clunk one too. Seems perfectly stable though, gonna run cod5 after see how it copes.

I would use OCCT 3.1:

It is a bit different than previous versions though. It has a new Linpack mode which is similar to IBT supposedly.

Run the CPU test for at least 8 to 12 hours and use it first with large data sets for this time period and then with small data sets.Run the tests at maximum priority. It has built in temperature monitoring and you can set a maximum temperature for it to stop tests at.

Also I would run Orthos for at least 8 to 12 hours too:

You need to run two instances and set the core affinity for the first two cores for the first instance and the last two cores for the second instance.

I would also use CoreTemp to look at temperatures too:

One more thing! I would make sure the temperature does not exceed 60C as the maximum operating temperature of the current C2 stepping X4 955BE is 62C:

Aww its stable at 3.72ghz until i run two lots of orthos, so benching all 4 cores, then it bluescreens . However...im thinking..will i ever use 100% of all 4 cores ? I think not...lol.

They may prove very useful!! I would look at getting an aftermarket heatsink for further increases in clockspeed too. I would look at getting down the clockspeed to 3.6ghz using stock voltages first and seeing if it stable.

Make sure that you do not exceed 1.5v and 60C.
