Might be interested in getting one of these but I've heard there are some problems with the Deathadder on Vista x64. Does anyone know anything about this and whether it's true or not?

Not sure if it is any help, but if the driver model is the same mine works fine with W7 RC 64 bit version.
Sounds promising. Thanks
andYou wont be able to update its firmware in Vista 64bit - as others say, use an XP machine first time to update it, then enjoy!
but mainlyShame for vista 64 drivers though =(All from the user reviews of the Deathadder on the OcUK shop site. There is one issue that has cropped up though, The scroll wheel is jerky and lags, A quick google shows other users with this problem.
It could be Vista 64, Or another incompatible piece of software, Still trying to fix it.
Maybe in the past...no idea, but there is offical support + drivers for the DA on Razors site : http://www.razersupport.com/index.ph...d=176&nav=0,11
You don't need drivers for the mouse anyway, it's just to update the firmware and the fancy highend features you need it for (like saving your config to the EPROM on the mouse).
Either way, these both work fine for me under Vista64. Have a look at the date of the reviews and check how old they are
Good-o.
Well two of the reviews were Feb and May 2009. Hence my uncertainty about the mouse.
how about the button configuration on Vista x86 and x64?
I heard that we can only configure the buttons on XP, is that true?
Ye no issues whatsoever here, used my deathadder on xp, vista and windows 7 64 bit all without issues. It's a great mouse.
Used one myself aswell, no problems.
works fine for me under win 7 64
there great mice
