    Question Case upgrade time.

Right guys, ive had this case for a short while now, its time to get a new one i think.

My current case is still expensive to buy, its the Silverstone TJ09.

I want something with better air cooling, anybody suggest anything ? Budget of around £200.

Il be advertising mine for sale when i get a new one ..

    Andy.

    Re: Case upgrade time.

    bye bye bike.

Have you considered water cooling? or case modding?
Not that I'm trying to con Infinite out of a bargi 2nd hand case
It's just that the TJ09 is hardly out of date or spec for a new pc.

I'd seriously consider modding it before selling it, unless you don't like the looks.
Modding a case will drop it's resale avlue unless it's done to a high spec.

Use it TWICE a week then!! Sorry to hear that you are selling your bike but at least you will get good use out of your computer - gives you an excuse to do some more posting on Hexus!!

    Re: Case upgrade time.

Get a new case as it is seriously going to be cheaper than water cooling!!

Have you tried replacing your existing fans and modifying the air flow though the case??

Haha, im starting my level 3 motorcycle engineering course in a few weeks, and the traffic is WAY to bad to use the car, so i will have to use two wheeled transport, this was the plan of action.

My zx6r is worth close to 4k, its £66 a year to tax, tyres cost about £200 for decent set, insurance £50 a month, general running costs are just..higher than say..

A scooter, laugh as you may but i wouldnt want to be riding a bike worth £4k thats practically MINT in all kinds of weather and decreasing its value, when i could sell it and have money to..

    1. Go on holiday with the mrs somewhere OR spend a little on the house and help my mother out.

    2. Buy a 125cc scooter and fit a 172cc kit on it, granted it wont be as fast as my zx6r..but it will be cheap transport, £15 a year tax, insurance will be about £10 per month, tyres cost about £100 if that, running costs will be ALOT lower.

    3. Have some money to buy some nice things, ive been wanting to continue modding my car for a while, its a seat leon TDI 130bhp, its had cupra wheels not the cupra R wheels (although i do want them eventually), ide like an exhaust, bumpers, rear windows tinting and continue with the sound system (although..i have to admit, my taste in music, metal etc doesnt bode well with the local G's in "da hood". Ide have plenty of money left to spend some money on the PC..afterall, its where i spend ALOT of time, as i like gaming, and talking to friends.

Let me take a few pics at the moment. I have..

1x 120mm coolermaster at the back.

2x 120mm sharkoon on the top.

Xigmatek HDT-S1283 (H.D.T.) on the CPU

    1x 120mm coolermaster between the HDD's.

Sorry about the blurryness, just grabbed the camera and turned the flash off, could of got the tripod out but really couldnt be bothered.

And yes, i know the DVD-rw isnt screwed in, i removed it last week to make it into an external so i could install XP on a Dell mini 9.

You have got expensive hobbies!! I get why you were selling your bike - I was just ribbing you! If you are not using anything that much it is much better to get rid of it unless it is increasing in value otherwise the cost of ownership is just too high with no visible benefits.

Having a good sound system in your car is money well spent IMHO. Also make sure you don't forget the MRS in all these new acquisitions too!

I am "just" stuck with hifi, cameras and computers for the time being.
