What's the difference between these routers? (Asides the price)

    Edimax BR-6524N

    Edimax BR-6574N

Just a newer version of the same thing? Google throws up lots of reviews for the latter one but not the first, anyone able to shed some light on this?

I'm curious since I was considering a new router (the one O2 gives you with their Premium package is frankly terrible) and I've always found Edimax products to be excellent, that they are on today only helps too

The main difference I see is that the second one includes a Gigabit switch, which allows faster wired data transfer with compatible network cards.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

From a quick look at the specs, the second one incorporates gigabit ethernet, the first is only 10/100.

BTW, before you get a new router for use with Be/02, you should probably see if it's listed in their forums as one of the recommended models - not all chipsets play nicely with the Be/02 DSLAMs and you could end up with a lower sync speed than you had previously...

Wow, how did I miss that, cheers. Should really learn to read more carefully when looking at specs.
