Asus P5N-E SLI Motherboard help
Can anyone help :help:
with my Asus P5N-E SLI Motherboard
when connected up the motherboard with thermaltake psu with both the 4 pin and 24 power conector it will not start up but if i take out the 4 pin and only have the 24 pin power plug it powers up does not cut out like others have after 15 seconds. could this be that the northbridge chip burnt out or could it be anthing else
any ideas before i chuck out the board
cheers
carl

if you going to chuck it maybe try baking it in the oven? just a random thought after reading a post this morning lol
Re: Asus P5N-E SLI Motherboard help
Try another PSU? I would say looks a bit fubar, could be the psu tho, so check that first.

This is your problem, I sold mine on eBay a LOOOOOONG time ago and got myself a P5K.
Re: Asus P5N-E SLI Motherboard help
TBH, at the time, reviews for it were pretty decent, had good OC potential and SLi.
But it just broke, because nVidia doesnt know what quality control is.

Yeah, the board itself was good, but the chipset was ****E (pardon my french).
Re: Asus P5N-E SLI Motherboard help
It's not really just nvidia's fault either. Asus' AMD and intel chipset boards of that era weren't much better.
