When overclocked past 3.6GHz, the i7 920 D0 requires signficantly more voltage because it begins to recircuit itself using this technique. Intel will, of course, deny this.

On a serious I wonder how long it will take the technology to fund the research... if all goes to plan and its a viable option
10 Years they reckon...
Sorry if I wasn't clear, 10 years is the time that the technique becomes fully integrated, I suspect it will be some time after that when the products finish paying for the research. In that the profit the products make surpasses the capital that went into developing the technology
