By "docking station" do you mean something like this?
Sharkoon SATA Quick Port (Enables the direct connection of a 2.5"-3.5" SATA HDD to your PC Via USB)

If so, they don't exist for IDE drives. The problem is the 40pin IDE and the molex power connector require too much force to insert and remove for that to be practical. They are also too fragile, especially in the case of IDE.

Yes, I would love to have one similar option like that one but not for Sata HD . If anyone can recommend a good one can use to swap HD easier. I have quite a few of IDE hard disk and want to swap when I need rather than to buy enclosure for each HD .

omai, I don't think you understood the point. You cannot get a docking station like that for IDE. You will either need to get sub-enclosures (enclosures which change the IDE and Molex ports to something that can be hot-swapped more easily, i.e. less fragile) or manually wire in the HDD each time with the first product you suggested. Of the two options the first device you looked at would be cheaper, as the other option, if you can find one (I haven't seen many places that sell them anymore) will mean you will buy one adapter, and a sub-enclosure for every single drive, which will be expensive.

Re: Looking for a Docking Station 3.5" IDE hard drive

There is a company in Australia that has a product available. The HDD docking station allows Sata and IDE 2.5" and 3.52 drives to be attached.

I would love to post a link but am not allowed due to forum rules. Never-the-less, look for pccasegear.com and then select HDD Enclosures on the left hand pane.

Only problem is that they don't ship these outside of Australia.

    Very interesting.

They look to be made be the same people as the SATA only ones, but this is the first time I've ever heard of an IDE variant.
