Any help would be gratefully received with this one...

I'm aware of the finicky nature of AMD SB RAID, but was hoping something as simple as striping wouldn't cause this much of a problem.

Is there any reason that anyone can think of why two Western Digital WD1600 laptop drives, when connected to ports configured in the BIOS of the board as 'RAID', would appear listed in the the AMD 710's RAID controller display screen as available and functional and healthy, but the LD Define screen would not even register them, let alone allow them to be selected?

I've tested both drives singly and together as a quickly build RAID-0 on the 3Ware RAID card in my workstation machine and there's no porblems at all with the disks themselves.

All I wanted was to produce a small, quick, quiet machine and this is rapidly becoming frustrating...
