New Antec VSK 2000 Black Tower Case?

I've just seen this over at Ebuyer, looks relatively nice and price is good.

A competitor to the Antec 300 maybe?

Looks to be near as the same case internally - I've used a 300 and it's really not a bad case for the price (same goes for the cheaper coolermaster ones) though I'd probably be tempted to buy one of the antec cases that are bundled with PSUs for a low end build and I'd probably spend a bit more if I were building something higher end (looks lovingly over at his Lian Li B25... Oooh shiny...)

That B25 is a lovely case, if you ever want to get rid of it, give me a shout I might be interested.

Antec VSK 2000 doesn't look nice to me. As above, i would consider a 300 myself.

The 300 just seems to make more sense, been looking at getting a case with the psu at the bottom for a while, and this would be a good start

Re: New Antec VSK 2000 Black Tower Case?

Unless there's a good reason for me to move on I'll be keeping the B25 for some time; I had the prior case - a Lian Li PC60 - for 7+ years. It's why I'll happily spend more on a case as a good one can last way longer than any component inside it.

Yeah - I bought the P182 around this time last year and it'll do me a long time methinks.

+1... The 300 does have the PSU at the bottom and it's definitely not as ugly as the VSK2000 from the front though I think I'd prefer the side grill on the VSK to the 300 (it's not flat with the panel on the 300 but looks it on the VSK). The 300 also has a 140mm fan in the top as well.

I was tempted by various Antec cases - and in truth they are probably far easier to quieten down. The B25 is quite good for an aluminium case - I think the 'bumpy' side panels and the door help a lot - but it still resonates a bit if you've got fast fans running in it (which I don't so for me it's not a big problem).
