Right, i need to save up money to afford a car/bike and since i need to work alot harder during my second year of A levels i have been thinking about selling my pc as i dont need it, how much is this stuff worth/bundled and seperate?

CPU: E8400
Mobo: P5n-d
Ram: 2x2gb Crucial ballistic cas 4 pc6400
HD: WD AAKS 640gb, Hitachi 1TB
GPU: Sapphire Vapour x 4850
Cards: SOundblaster 2 ZS
Case: CM 690
PSU: Xclio 700w

Also, 360 pro (60gb) with wireless controller+play and charge kit?

That is one expensive card!!

I would sell the components separately as you will get a better price for them. Check completed Ebay listings for the individual parts as forum prices can be a bit low.

BTW,I assume you must have another PC at hand as it will be useful for coursework and studying purposes though. My advice would be to ditch the XBox 360 and the graphics card so you won't mess around playing games when studying and you will still have a powerful PC for study purposes.

Well theres a laptop i can borrow but i maybe nabing my dads basic pc with a 4400x2(i think) and possibly shove my 4850 in there and that will be allowed for some gaming and mostly work .

I'd say maybe £70 for the processor and around £100 for the 360.

I don't think your dad's PC will know what hit it!! It seems sad that you are ditching your pc for a car!! You have got all your priorities wrong there!! A car is the only other thing which probably looses more of its value quicker than a PC!! I think I am too used to public transport!!

Well if you go from A-levels to a degree to a MSc and then finally a PhD you could delay getting a job for at least 7 years!!

Being a student for 7 years more means you will get all those nice student discounts for Microsoft software a bit longer!!

Ha, would certainly need to sell everything i own and lock myself inside my house cause i really need to get good results . Im told so many times that i wont get in uni with my grades because there are to many people applying and are better than me so im buggered!.

Study the hardest you can!!This way you are not underselling yourself when you sit the exam.

TBH,there are plenty of people who I know who have not got straight A's or a first class degree at uni but have gone on to be successful in both academia and industry.

Aye, that's true. But it does make it the harder / longer road*.
*10 years of night school to get from crap A-Levels to business management.

I don't know I have owned 3 cars in my lifetime, and not payed a penny for either one of them!
