New touchscreen laptop ...multitouch?
Not many multitouch laptops out:
Dell XT2:
dell XT2 multitouch
vs
HP TX2:
hp TX2 multitouch
Any more... ?
Unsure whether to forego multitouch and save a few hundred quid for a standard touchscreen...
Alos softwarewise I suppose OneNote is great on touchscreens, any paint apps specifically designed for touchscreens?

Re: New touchscreen laptop ...multitouch?
Those are the only ones that I could find...
I was tempted by one of the XT2's, but they are so slow...so I bought one of the TX2's today :D Awesome little machines - the newer models do not suffer from the heat/noise/speed issues of the previous models, and multi-touch on windows 7 really is amazing to use. Simple things such as scrolling or zooming work in almost any application, and the gestures in album/media center etc are pretty cool.
Works great as a standard laptop too - keyboard is big enough and nice to type on, although the laptop is a bit heavy for its size.
Cost me £750 for the 1160ea version - very pleased with it :)

Yeah, I bought the HP TX2 in the end too.
The preloaded vista was crap and so full of bloatware it took ages to boot.
Bad job HP!
So I put in a SSD drive, and loaded windows 7.
Totally amazing machine - only downsides are:
1. AMD chipset runs hotter than other laptops, and so the fan comes on a fair amount (alot less less using power-saver profile though..)
2. The screen has a slight grainyness due to the touchscreen overlay,
but that's not a problem for me.
Re: New touchscreen laptop ...multitouch?
I reckon multitouch laptops will come out after Windows 7 is released. There's not much point selling one with Vista, so I think they're biding their time.
