HTPC upgrade to general multimedia PC

    Hi

I have a HTPC but I offered to sell it on to a friend for a PC for her daughter. The PC is to see her through university for the next 3 years.

At the moment the spec is

    AMD Athlon X2 5050e
    Gigabyte AM2+ 780G motherboard
    2Gig RAM
Coolermaster Elite 340 MicroATX Case with Coolermaster 460W PFC PSU

Question is do i need to upgrade it for general purpose PC to last next 3years?
It will be used for a bit of photoshop, some music composing programs, MS office, internet & movie playback.

I'm guessing a nice cheap upgrade would be another stick of RAM. What about CPU? PSU? Do I need to upgrade them?

    Many thanks

Another stick of ram will do nicely. Everything else looks fine. The 780G gpu would be a lot better than what most uni students are using (ie really cheap laptops).

Seems like a good little system from what she needs.

Another stick of ram mite be nice, but even 2G should be fine for those applications.
