Early Athlon II X4 processors batches are based on Phenom II X4
I don't know if this true though but you can unlock these early Athlon II X4 processors to a Phenom II X4:

Edit!!
It seems that the chip had a year of 2008 stamped on it and not 2009.

The Phenom II X4 900 series competes with the Intel Q8000 and Q9000 series processors.
Phenom II X4 955BE and 965BE ~ Q9500/Q9505/Q9550/Q9650
Phenom II X4 940BE and 945 ~ Q9400 and Q8400
Phenom II X4 920 and 925 ~ Q9300 and Q8300
The Athlon II X4 and X3 processors should be under £90 and are a new market segment. The upcoming Q7000 series should compete with these. Looks like triple core and quad core processors will start to enter the mainstream.
The Phenom II X3 competes with the E8000 series and the Phenom II X2 competes with the E7000 and E6000 series.
The Athlon II X2 series competes with E5000 series.
TBH,its nice for the consumer to have so much choice regarding processors once again!! :)

Looks good for AMD seeing as they own so much of the market of sub £100 processors now.
