Need small, cheap, HDMI capable PC - possibly prebuilt

I'm looking around a few different options for a little PC, and decided to put my faith in Hexus.

I need the PC in question to be:

    ASAP (As Silent As Possible)
    ASAP (As Small As Possible)
    AWAP (As White As Possible)
    and have an HDMI output

It will be used initially to run a powerpoint presentation in a waiting room - maybe later on something a little more exotic, but I don't think it will ever be taxed in the speed department. If there's a prebuilt machine that ticks all the boxes at a good price, then that would be great, but I'm equally interested in a self-build.

I just have two main concerns - one is that with very small PCs the cases and so on all seem to cost a fortune, and the other is that RMAing broken components makes me want to kill somebody

Any advice would be much appreciated

I think the ASRock ION fits the bill (again).

Strange, I seem to be recommending this a lot, and I haven't got around to getting one myself.

These are pretty awesome and nice and cheap.

Small (tiny in fact), white, very quiet and more than capable of anything media related.

Beaten to it, but this is the way to go I think.

If you need something small then maybe get EeeBox or Acer Revo.

I know exactly what you mean.
The only way I can currently fault it is for not having a digital TV tuner card in it.

Although seeing as my tv is only 17" non-widescreen and we already have a nice HDrecorder box thingy I've not really got a need for a media pc.

If the Gadget Show is anything to go by you'll be wanting an Acer Aspire Revo R3600

I wouldn't go by what you see on the gadget show, I gave up watching it as it constantly felt like a waste of my life.

The last article I watched was a plasma screen round-up which spent half of the time talking about how nice they looked (the cabinets, not the picture!), most of the other half regurgitating the manufacturers spec sheet and the last small bit of time was throwing in phrases like "ohh, i like this one".

No screen calibration, no technical tests, no real review AFAIC.

Almost as classic as their PC vs Mac Laptop head-to-head......
