    Asus P55

Not sure where to put this. So I guess this is for people general interest:

    http://www.dabs.com/products/asus-s1...-a-l-64KR.html

Seems a bit too cheap. Anyone wanna try a pre-order and see what you get? haha, might be a miss price?

If pricing is accurate, I can see people being able to get i5 base system for under £300

    i5 750: £130
    Mobo: £80?
    4gb DDR3: £60-80

    mfr#: P7P55D LE
    LE version of the P7P55D
Probably an entry level board, missing a load of features, which in turn is why it's probably so cheap.

Hopefully, the price of P55 boards won't be as high as we expect?

Well, dabs are showing as having the LE in stock at £74 ($123) whilst the estimated price for the LE is $139, so it's safe to say they won't be too expensive, and will fall over the first few weeks

    Re: Asus P55

The bigger question will be how good the lower end boards are?

    Absoloutely amazing.

Sure they might not overclock to 6Ghz, but then, who needs that? A low end board will do what a low end board is meant to do

    lol, I don't see why.

Anyway, UD6 seems pointless, UD5 will be the one to get if you want the best really, the extra phases are useless.
