Only just got my stuff today and wont be putting it together till the weekend probably, if i get time.
Well as ebuyer decided 24hours later that I didn't actually get one of the cheap msi p55-gd65 boards it's not nore is it going to.
The rest of the list of bits I was going to order has now met the delete key.
I missed that before, I'm probably number 99 in his in box or simular
But some chance is better than none and I'll wait for conformation before I start redrawing up the list.
waiting for the results on this, before ordering my new rig, was going togo budget but may fork out for midrange if they oc well.

i got my asus from ebuyer and one of the cheap ones from scan (hopefully) so will either sell the asus on here or try and send it back to ebuyer within the 7 days if i get the msi one quick enough.
and for once i get to have a play with new tech and try overclocking on a couple of boards.
am up to 3.7 now this seems to be very easy to hit (11.172 seconds for super pi wanna break ten seconds) will be aiming for 4ghz later and see how that goes
Apparently there is a pretty hard limit of 220 bclk due to the integrated PCI-E controller being coupled to the uncore clock. Hopefully the next revision of chip will uncouple it so we can limit the PCI-E speed.
what cpu cooler and case are you using?
have hit the magic 4ghz now on 1.35v am pretty happy with that
Well done 4ghz is a good 49% OC i think. I have seen some push 4.2ghz stable. How are your temps btw , under load.?
