Buying a USb memory stick
Im after a couple of USB memory sticks, one for music for use in my car (4gb ish) and one for transferring films, work etc around at university (so will be attached to my keys (8gb+ ish).
Looking on ebay there are several sticks going relatively cheaply. I'm guessing the trade is a slower transfer speed, but i don't know how much this speed varies.
Can anyone comment on the difference in speed between this cheap sticks & the higher quality Corsair? thanks guys :)

Re: Buying a USb memory stick
Dont do it. Save yourself the lottery and hassle of the chance of getting a fake.
Most online retailers have a line of cheaper memory sticks, get one of those instead.
Re: Buying a USb memory stick
Agreed. Huge amount of fake size ones about.
Buy from Scan / Play / whatever. Just not Ebay :)
The Corsairs are quite well priced given their quality + support.
Re: Buying a USb memory stick
Agreed again.
Some of the best out there at the moment are the Pico range by Super Talent, in my opinion. Well made, decent capacities, very small. Not the cheapest though. Scan sell many of the variants in this range.

Corsair, Patriot, Kingston, PNY, Datawrite, all good quality. +1 on avoid Ebay too. Play, memorybits, Scan, Amazon & even Argos are all good.

keep your eyes open on hotukdeals for deals, all my sticks have been from pcworld/dixons/comet when they have an offer on. I wouldnt touch ebay for any kind of flash storage.
