depends what you're getting the 4870x2 for.

Should be able to use a good lower watt psu as your specs stand.
HX620w also has the advantage of being modular.

Re: Hows my rig gonna look after my upgrade?

Ahh well if you already have them.
I'd say that looks good for specs, DVD drive?
Personally I'm happy to stay with onboard sound and not bother with the seperate sound card.

    OUCH I TELL YOU.

lol I think everybody is until..

I have used/have onboard Realtek HD, Audigy 2 Platinum eX, and now Xonar D2X

    Headsets - Steelseries 5Hv2, Medusa 5.1 NX, Sennheiser HD595.

Let me try and help u coz if I can improve just one persons gaming experience, it will be something great.

Steeleries, sound fine, medusa sound OK, they BOTH sound DIRE compared to my HD595, and I mean.. ABISMAL.

my Audigy sounded allot better sound quality wise than my Realtek, it was very noticable, my D2X blows my Audigy 2 out the window, for sound quality and positional audio + immersion.

Playing for example COD WAW on my D2X + HD595 (yes its an expensive combo) is a DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE, it truly is, it MAKES the game so immersive words cant describe, u select 7.1, and dolby headphone (which then converts the 8 channels into a 2 channel signal for headphones which then alters the sound stage (much like our own 2 ears) positioning the sound accurately around you.

hmmm, well, u have to be there.. lol

do urself a favour mate, rly.

Re: Hows my rig gonna look after my upgrade?

No I will not, I've got a cheap set of 5.1 surround speakers, no point in me spending loads on a high quality set and a high end sound card as I cannot set them up correctly in this room.
Having your speakers correctly placed makes a major difference on the sound.

On top of that I'm not an audiophile, while I can tell the sound quality is better it's not enough to make a serious difference for me.

Same goes for graphics some people will not be happy at anything under 100fps where as others are happy with anything over 30fps.

That RAM is meant to be really nice, but i dont know how well it would pair with the GD65 so could you let me know? I've got the same board but still waiting for me to get my hands on some components to pair with it.
