Hey guys, I'm amazed that I never noticed this forum before, looks like the perfect place to ask this sort of question. So anyway, I am a total noob when it comes to technical jargon, so I'll try and explain this as best as possible.
My motherboard is a K8M890-8237 (http://www1.dealtime.co.uk/xPF-Foxco...ATA-RAID-Ether). I need an IDE to SATA convertor so that I can hook my PC to my Xbox 360 disc reader via a SATA cable.
I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out here. I mean, would something like this http://linitx.com/viewproduct.php?prodid=11086 work? If so, will my motherboard support it?
I guess a few of the nub questions I have in my head is: Does my motherboard already have a SATA port? I opened my pc up and had a look, but couldn't see any. Will a SATA cable connect to the adaptor and the adaptor connect to the motherboard EASILY? Ugh, can someone try and explain what I should do please?
Thanks :D
