    Set the bios to boot from the CD rom drive, place your bootable OS CD in the CD rom drive and let it install the Operating system, if there was no operating system on there then NTLDR missing is nothing really new.....

    Um, it'll only look for NTLDR if there's a boot sector on the drive.

    You sure you've not left a blank floppy in there?
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    thats true, I shoulda mentioned theres gotta be something on there to say NTLDR, otherwise it would just report invalid system disc.

    I take it you bought the HDD second hand if you don;t have anything in the floppy drive, cos if that drive is brand new, someones had it before you

    Or there's another hard drive in the system that's booting but looking at the wrong device for NTLDR... nah I don't think that's possible, that usually doesn't happen until NTLDR has loaded.

    Hmmmmm.

    edit: Of course if you've formatted it but done nothing with it - you'd probably get that error too.
