    laptop can not read the hard drive

    my laptop can not read the hard drive except sometime the laptop detect the hard drive and i can see the windows loading, but it restart again to have the same problem, i tried another hard drive but the same problem, the hard drive is the first boot at the bios. any ideas? please

    it could be a poor connection or a failing chipset on the board.

    if you have another hard drive to test it and it works every time that would mean the hard drive would be at fault. if the same thing occurs with a different harddrive the motherboard would most likely be at fault. if your laptops under warranty. send it back to the manufactured asap. if not depending on make model and age it might be more financially prudent to buy a new machine.
