    Ram

Well, i've been working my ass off and been making money to buy some new RAM.

I'm looking at getting two modules of Corsair.

    Things i'm looking for:

    PC3200
    1GB (2 x 512MB)

I have about £250 to spend so i was looking at some of the Corsair Pro PC3200 2x512MB TwinX LL stuff. What's the best stuff to get?

Currently i have 2 x 256MB of TwinMOS w/winbond PC3200. Yes, it's not a big upgrade but i play MMORPG's so a RAM would do a lot of good for it. I want Corsair 'cause it has tighter timings and lower latencies which is also something I want.

    Any thoughts?

go get some XL memories if you can find them. Corsair XMS3200XL is the only modules manufactured today capable of reaching Winbond BH-5 timings. They are what to get if you want the best. LL memory modules are really good aswell, so keep those as a second choise.

Getting Corsair is a good idea really, I've used quite a few modules from them and they never let you down.

Does it? Go get them mate You can see the XL memory modules as a successor to the LL modules. 3200LL has existed for much over a year now atleast. They manage clearly better timings and should also show off the speed for that.

    200MHz FSB

I'm still trying to understand why all the XL models are cheaper than the LL ones.

Yup, the Pro isn't worth it, just get the XLPT instead, it's good stuff

another XL user here ( and XMS PRO as well )

These have been great memory modules with timings very low and also clocked up to 420-425 Mhz with no issues what-so-ever.

All I need is a processor that will let me run them at these speeds now ...
