    PSU Advice needed

My pc is mostly kept on 24/7. Occassionly to play games and to browse the web/read manga but mostly to watch tv dramas/movies and listen to music. Anyway the current psu seems to blowing hot air into pc case which I think is odd so have decided to change it. Would like a ultra silent psu if possible. Don't really want to spend a fortune £40-£55 ish. Reliable brand and good quality build. Min 400watt max 550watt.

    athlon 64x2 4800+
    2 ide hard drives
    1 graphics card
    1 dvd rewriter
    4x pc3200 corsair menory
    3 usb devices

A couple psu that I was thinking are:

    Enermax ECO80+
Corsair 450W HX Series Modular PSU
    Coolermaster Silent Pro Whisper

But I can't find any reviews about the noise level of each. Or if anyone has any other reccomendations.

    Re: PSU Advice needed

Seeing as your system is pretty low end, you could just stick with an OCZ StealthXStream 400W for only £35 on Ebuyer (no free delivery unless you order £50+ though) Apparently it's really quiet but I haven't seen a review explicitly stating the sound levels. On the other hand you could also get a Corsair CX400 for around £38 with free delivery on Scan but it's slightly louder on high loads but it'll give you 6 SATA cables instead of 4 and the cable braids begin from inside the case so looks neater.

So as I said, you really don't need more than 400W when you're choosing from nice brands so save some cash.
OCZ - Quieter but cable braiding doesn't begin till 2cm or so out of the case or:
Corsair - Slightly louder on high loads but nice cable braiding from inside and 2 extra SATA & Molex connectors

I'd go for the OCZ as I've heard really nice reviews about them as well as opinions. I ordered the Corsair but noone was in today so it's in the Post Office right now. Dunno if my dad will go get it for me tomorrow or if I'll have to get it on Friday myself. If I get it soon I can comment on how load the Corsair really is (well only to a certain extent as I can't test a PSU at certain load levels lol)

EDIT: I got the Corsair PSU and it's really silent even when I am running IBT. Not that it's a fair measure but yeah...
