    wireless card dilemma!

    Hey guys,

I have a bit of a problem and I can't see how to solve it. I have a belkin usb wifi dongle that connects me to the internet, it gives me a very weak signal (2/5) on the meter. And when I am downloading for a long time it sometimes disconnects (I think due to over heating). The problem is I don't understand why I'm getting such low signals. The router is less than 10metres away. But it is through a door/walls as we keep it in the airing cupboard. I have tried opening the door and still nothing works so I assume it is to do with my wifi usb dongle as my other laptop/computer seem fine!what I wanted to know is how can I solve this problem? Can anyone recomment me a pci card that has something that picks up signals better (like two attanae) its really annoying me!!!!
    Thanks!!

    Re: wireless card dilemma!

I had awful luck with USB dongles -they always gave me problems. So now I use a PCI card and it's perfect - I use this one:

As it comes with a remote antenna so I can move it out from the back of the PC.
