    Exclamation Quck question about installing sound card

    About to install a new sound card and was wondering if i should disable my onboard one in ther bios.

    Plus if i do disable i uninstall the drivers for it.

    Edit: Mod i noticed that i spelt quick wrong. Could you change it please.

    No need to disable it or uninstall drivers, but you can do if you want.

    I just disabled it in the BIOS... no point having it running, all it's likely to do is interfere and waste time being initialised.

    Yeah turn it off, anything im not using like onboard sound, serial ports etc i turn off, cos its less things that take time to turn on.

    Also, having the drivers installed won't hurt too much anyway, but you can remove them no problem too.
