CM690 and Corsair power supplies

Decided today (as i've got nothing better to do) that i'm going to take my pc apart and solve my cabling.

Now i opened it up and noticed that my ATX plug lead it draped across my mobo and only just makes it to the top.

And i decided that before i take it all apart and find it wont fit, if i try and take it underneath the mobo, i was wondering if anyone had got it to reach.

Is there some trick and could having a different mobo make a difference.

i've managed to get the 8 pin cable around the back of the motherboard along with some sata power cables, as for the atx cable not got any problems at all with my hx520 in the same case. i thought it stretched quite well, in fact i'm pretty sure i've still got a bit of slack with it
