    Recommend me some RAMage?

    hello,

I'm about to start a core i7 build, but I still haven't decided on the memory I need.

I'm hoping to overclock my system (i7 920 and R2E) to speeds beyond 4GHz CPU clock. So I'm looking at about 210Mhz base clock.

I was going to purchase the CAS 7 Dominator 1600Mhz memory, but at 210Mhz this would result in a clock of 1680MHz on the RAM. I think an 80 MHz overclock at CAS 7 would be pushing it; I can't find any reviews of this part, so I haven't got a clue as to its capabilities.

Could anyone here recommend me some RAM that would be suitable for my case? I'm looking to spend about £150 or less.

    Thanks!

people work with it you may need to drop the timings, you may find they hold well, mine ran happy at 1644 and above at the xms timings.

dont forget you can put the multi to 21 and hit 4.2 at 1600 dram with a 200 fsb (4:1)

    don't forget the face palm

    or this: http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/p...L6T-6GBTD.html

I think these are cheaper and slightly faster than the Corsair as well =/

    Re: Recommend me some RAMage?

    hello,

Thanks infinite, those are just what I was looking for.

Unfortunately, Novatech decided to bump the price by £17 overnight.

Gonzo, I'm hoping to be able to push the system a little beyond 4.2. Otherwise, it's money poorly burnt.
