    AMD Phenom II 720 BE - TEMPS!!

    Hey guys...Ive recently built a new comp with the help from some of you guys here and I was wondering are these nomal temps for a stock cooled AMD Phenom II 720 BE @ Stock clocks.

    Speedfan results...
    IDLE : LOAD
    Temp 1 = 37C : 51C
    Temp 2 = 30C. : 40C
    Temp 3 = -128C : -128C (WTF this cant be right?)
    Core = 25C : 45C

    AMD Overdrive results...
    IDLE : LOAD
    CPU0 = 26C : 47C
    CPU1 = 26C : 47C
    CPU2 = 26C : 47C

    Sounds like its not properly mounted, and the temp3 is the stuck sensor that speedfan always has. Remount with only a little as5.

    The AOD results are about the same as I got with the boxed cooler.

    Sound perfectly reasonable for a stock-cooled CPU to me. My Q6600 runs at over 50 degrees mainly down to my cheap-ass case (must try to find money to replace that at some point... )

    Re: AMD Phenom II 720 BE - TEMPS!!

    Speedfan reports my temps at idle as 37-32-37, when I had Overdrive installed it reported something around 30. So good.
    Tried to load the CPU just now for some 10 mins, the second and third core got up to 47, and the first stays hovering around 38, but I'm bored now to continue. Which really means the temps are really normal

    Re: AMD Phenom II 720 BE - TEMPS!!

    With the ninja 2 cooler I get around 24 idle and 35 full load with prime running. that is using the Fan supplied with the cooler and some AS paste.

    Edit : forgot to say that is with a slight overclock to 3Ghz 15x multiplier 1.325 Volts

    So I should get a similar performance to the Ninja 2 or what?

    Re: AMD Phenom II 720 BE - TEMPS!!

    I asked because I've got a scythe ninja 2 and a Phenom 720 BE.

    My idle temps are 36ºC on the cpu and 24ºC on the core and my full temps are about 50ºC on the cpu and 43ºC on the core.

    This temps are with 1.49v and 3,6ghz.

    It seems that my temps are high. Could it be the thermal paste?

    Thanks

    These temps are fine, even if the programs were accurate it's still way under the safe limit.
