Re: Problem with my GFX card?

Does the same problem occur with any other 3d games. If it occurs for multiple games then it is probably hardware related. If not then it could be a dodgy install.

Is your gfx card overclocked? if so it could be making it unstable.

    hi there,
    thanks for the reply.
I haven't got any other games to play with. i havent overclocked (don't even know how :S) i think i shall try and install it again if that could be the case. i thought that it could be because i have a bigger monitor the card couldn't keep up..?

I would download a few game demos and see if the problems still persist with these games.

Re: Problem with my GFX card?

yeah it could be not installed correctly, or maybe damage to memory?!?

did you buy the card 2nd hand?

Try updating drivers and like the person above says try other demos or 3D apps.

    GL!

Sounds like a software problem rather than hardware, to me.

Re: Problem with my GFX card?

This looks like what happens when the graphics memory is going flaky. The only thing is to run some other games and see if the graphical corruption is repeated.

I'm glad you didn't ask people on the server, cause if you said you could see their heads as random pixels people would have started furiously typing "OMFG HAX HAAAAAAX"

But yeah, latest drivers would be the first thing to do...
