Does the same problem occur with any other 3d games. If it occurs for multiple games then it is probably hardware related. If not then it could be a dodgy install.
Is your gfx card overclocked? if so it could be making it unstable.

hi there,
thanks for the reply.
I haven't got any other games to play with. i havent overclocked (don't even know how :S) i think i shall try and install it again if that could be the case. i thought that it could be because i have a bigger monitor the card couldn't keep up..?

yeah it could be not installed correctly, or maybe damage to memory?!?
did you buy the card 2nd hand?
Try updating drivers and like the person above says try other demos or 3D apps.
GL!
i did get it second hand, but i have used it previously (but in a different computer though) i am going to try now. thanks.
also when i go to play multi player it doesn't load :S
Sounds like a software problem rather than hardware, to me.

Also i may get windows 7 for gaming can i put this on another HDD and will it work like normal? i can choose which computer i want it to boot from?:

This looks like what happens when the graphics memory is going flaky. The only thing is to run some other games and see if the graphical corruption is repeated.
flaky as in damaged? i am downloading the newest drivers as we speak.
I'm glad you didn't ask people on the server, cause if you said you could see their heads as random pixels people would have started furiously typing "OMFG HAX HAAAAAAX"
But yeah, latest drivers would be the first thing to do...
