    Athlon II X3 435 and X2 240e reviews out

It seems quite a few popped up today for the X3 435:

    http://www.overclockersclub.com/revi...n_ii_435_240e/

    http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets...oc.aspx?i=3663

    http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...i-x3,2452.html

    http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu...ii-x3-435.html

Performance looks great for the money especially since you can OEM ones for well under £50 and even the retails one probably won't be over £60.

The X2 240e looks have low power consumption too:

The power consumption of the X4 605e is very impressive too!! Unless Anandtech and Toms Hardware fudged up their figures it is similar to the X2 240e!!

I've only read the Anandtech article, but if you read the user comments made by "maddoctor" - what an absolute idiot, makes me want to tear my hair out

I'm glad Hexus forum members are not like that.

I read those comments too and there was another user on Anandtech and The Tech Report who was hated Intel and yet another one on Anandtech who loved Nvidia.

I was thinking of an X2 240 for my next system. Even X4 looks like a good bargain.

These look good indeed. AMD really is back in the game. When do these hit retail? Ive had a quick browse around and most places still only offering 65W Athlon II's.
