Hey I havnt included a mouse, (although I wouldnt recommend that saitek one, i had one it broke very quickly) but I think this is a solid build for £500. Squeezed in a DX11 Graphics card, Quad Core CPU and 4GB Ram - plus a higher quality and higher capacity hard drive.

Re: New build - around £500

This is what I would go for:

    500GB Samsung F3 ~ £34

    http://www.scan.co.uk/TodayOnly/Index.aspx

    Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P ~ £71

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/GIGAB...770T-UD3P-MOBO

This is a very well regarded motherboard.

    OR

    MSI 770-C45 ~ £49

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/MSI-7...dio-GB-LAN-ATX

This motherboard is considered quite decent for the money too!

    AMD Phenom II X2 545 ~ £64

    http://www.scan.co.uk/TodayOnly/Index.aspx

This has L3 cache which is better for gaming and also a 770 based motherboard with the SB710 southbridge (the two I mentioned are 770 based motherboards with this southbridge) you maybe able to unlock to a quad core!!

    4GB (2x2GB) Corsair XMS3 Dominator DDR3 ~ £83

    http://www.scan.co.uk/TodayOnly/Index.aspx

    Coolermaster Centurion 590 Black ~ £49

    http://www.scan.co.uk/TodayOnly/Index.aspx

Samsung SATA DVD rewriter ~ £16

    http://www.scan.co.uk/TodayOnly/Index.aspx

    500W Silverstone Strider ST50F-230 ~ £50

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/500W-...lar-cable-V-10

    1GB Asus HD5770 ~ £120

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/1GB-Asus-HD5770-PCI-E

    Saitek PM42 mouse

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Saite...Way-Hat-Switch

The total comes to around £517.
