On call of duty 4 if any of you remember me moaning about fps and that it was too low, well on CCC i turned AA on x4 and now i dont drop below 90FPS and mostly stay at 125, any answer for this?

As long as the minimum frame rate is above 30fps then TBH most games will be smooth.

It is weird that you are getting higher frame rates with AA turned on as opposed to it being turned off!!

Its a lot smoother as well. it would jump around a lot! only problem is becuase realtek are the crappest company alive something about there audio drivers makes cod4 close everytime i join a game! cba to fix it.

Yup. Basically you've told CCC to override any default AA algorithms for the game. Modern games often soft-code in AA algorithms so that they work with deferred rendering which is quite common in engines these days. Problem is these soft-codes are vendor agnostic and often don't run very well. Telling your card to ignore these and instead use AMDs hard coded algorithms can see a huge boost in performance. Alternatively they can just remove AA altogether if the hard coded algorithm doesn't deal with a particular game engine.

Its crazy on single player i dont drop below 60 fps, apart from when i put AA on 24x on CCC .
