    Question Best DVD-RW

Ive got a Pioneer one here but its IDE and won't fit due to cable size etc so im after a SATA - surprise, surprise.

Which is the peoples champ when it comes to DVD-RW (obviously it must do DL as well) which has most consistent writes etc.

    Help much appreciated x.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

    Re: Best DVD-RW

If you want a quick answer, I am quite happy with a Samsung SH-S203, but it's pretty 'old' now.

In my opinion, you can't go too wrong with any of the major brands (Plextor, Samsung, LG, Lite-On, Sony) with half-decent media, but if you want to find the currently best regarded drive, I recommend that you check out cdrlabs.com and cdfreaks.com.

There you will find quality scans of most drives with huge number of media, be it DVD-R, DVD+R, RW, DL etc. The reason it's done is because a brand may do well in a given generation, but lose the crown in the next. Sometime a newer drive can appear (slightly) worse in those quality scans.
