    Spec check please

    General internet/office machine.

I plan to unlock the sempron into dual core

Plus some spare bits that I have lying around here:
    480W xclio psu
2GB OCZ DDR2 ram (temporarily from my PC) - seems like ram prices have gone up big time, so will look out for second hand deals.
got loads of spare hard drives here, will probably stick 1TB in
    spare DVD-RW drive here
    Windows 7 HP (preordered)

Am I missing anything? Not too sure on the motherboard, maybe I can get away with something cheaper?

    Cheers

    Re: Spec check please

I would check that the supplied cooling fan has a low enough profile for the case first. It does need to fit under the PSU IIRC.

CPU coolers up to 78mm in height
Now I need to find the height of the retail cooler

    Great

Does the motherboard look OK? Can't find a proper review of it.

It's ASUS, it's a good chipset with good enough features and it's not uber cheap, should be fine

    Did my unlock fail?

I will try to update bios (if there is a new one out).
