Im looking for a new motherboard for my PC ideally with at least 5 sata ports. ATX size would be best and it needs to support over 4GB of ram. Anyone got any recomendations? Ideally keeping the price around the £50-70 mark.
Cheers

What socket is your processor?? Use CPU-Z if you are uncertain!
Ah knew I missed out some important information! My socket is LGA 775 for a Core2Duo.
Do you need integrated graphics and do you need to overclock?? What CPU do you have and also what is the PSU model?? Some motherboards have an 8 pin EPS connector on the motherboard.
Like I said run CPU-Z and it should give some info on the motherboard,RAM and CPU you have:

Hi Smee,
Just remembered - I have a spare PSU if you need to test your existing kit.
The folks around here should be helpful, I promise!
I think he's got a couple of year old C2D and probably no 8 pin EPS but can't be sure of that. No overclocking as it's his HTPC and as such discrete graphics I think.
Nah dont need intergrated graphics or sound or overclocking ability.
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6750 @ 2.66GHz
Memory: PC2-4300 (266 MHz) 1GBx4
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO 256MB
OS: win7 64bit
HD: 4x sata drives
DVD: 1x sata
My current motherboard is asus P5B but its knackered some of the sata ports have stopped working. My PSU might also be a bit broken too but I havent tested that yet.
Might take you up on that offer steve on the PSU. Mind you mine is working now. Whats the best way to test a powersupply as dont want it damaging the rest of my PC.
Cheers
This is motherboard is a bit above your budget but would do the job well:

You should be able to ditch the 2400 pro and use the Nvidia 9300 integrated graphics instead.
If you do not need a mATX motherboard then this will do the job:

If you need a mATX motherboard then look at this one:

If you are looking for a new PSU this one is highly regarded:

Thanks.
Im favouring the ASUS P5Q SE2 iP45 more as its got more PCI sockets. ATX is prefered for me as I have quite a few PCI cards and will be getting a few more soon.
This motherboard has all solid capacitors which should mean a longer lifespan in theory:

Is it best to buy a new power supply as well to be safe?
Ive got a Coolermaster IGreen 500W PSU. Its about a year and a half old.
The reason I say this is the motherboard happened to go wrong in a week where we had lots of problems with our electricity so I am not sure if the power supply is damaged and is likely to damage the rest of my computer.
Coolermaster are not the best make but their PSUs will still do the job TBH. If you are worried I would get a new PSU and a surge protector or surge protected extension lead like the Belkin SurgeMaster.
The ASUS P5Q SE PLUS iP45 with solid capacitors does not support my memory speed according to ebuyer. It should do though I would have thought?
This one seems quite popular.

Is it any good?
533mhz DDR2 RAM does not seem to have been tested with the motherboard:

However in theory there should be no issue as you would run the RAM in a 1:2 ratio with the FSB anyway!
Seems to have decent specs:

Which is best do you think for value/quality?
Oh this is for a media center PC so fan speed controls are important but it looks like they have identical speed control systems.
