Problems with SN85G4
Hi,
I just purchased the following components for my new shuttle pc but it won't POST. My monitor doesn't turn on and i don't get any warning beeps from the shuttle (not sure if they do that though?). The problem isn't the monitor as it works fine on my other pc.
AMD Athlon 64 3000 (Socket 754)
Western Digital Raptor 74GB Serial ATA 10000RPM
Samsung SM352-B 52x/24x/16x CD-RW/DVD Combo
Shuttle SN85G4
CorsairĀ® 512MB XMS 3200 DDR 400MHz Registered with Heat Spreader (AMD FX & Opteron Compatible)
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB DDR 8X AGP DVI TV Out
I've tried using a GF3 instead of the Radeon but that didn't make any difference.
To clarify then, I hit the power button and it whirs into life, all the fans kick in but then nothing happens.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Sounds like a problem with your BIOS chip. Has it ever posted before?
My SN41G2 corrupted it's BIOS once before whilst overclocking (a friend had the same). Luckily I had a BIOS saviour fitted. I thought this was just a problem with the nforce 2 boards, maybe not.

Any solutions?
Did you find a solution to this problem. My system just won't post. i wanted to build a cheap media center,
I have SN85G4 v1, 1 gig kingston ram and a FX5200 video card. and the system just won't post. The dvd light blinks every few seconds, but no post.. you help is appreciated.
