Epson Playing Up

My sister's Epson Stylus Colour 300 printer just won't accept her new cartridge. It just keeps saying it's empty.

She's tried EVERYTHING. SO what can she do?

She's had the cartridge since Christmas... Could it have dried up in that time?

epson printers have no ink level monitors, it's implemented at driver level. uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers will reset all cartridges to "full". you can often get 33% more ink out of a cartridge by telling epson to FO when they inform you a cart is empty.
