Enermax Modu82+ 425W PSU Okay For The Following?
Hi All!
I need some advice on the PSU I have and whether it'll be able to cope!
I'm looking to build a HTPC with the following components and was wondering if my Enermax Modu82+ 425W PSU will be sufficient for this build? My head says yes but I'm not sure, so I thought I'd ask my fellow hexites!
Antec Fusion Black with LCD to be powered!
Philips Microsoft SRM5100 Remote and Receiver (Unless I can figure out if the Fusion LCD/IR Receiver will provide the same function as the MCE Receiver!)
Intel DG41TY mATX G41 Motherboard
Intel E8400 CPU with Thermalright Ultra-90 or SI-120 with LGA775 Adapter (Either should fit!)
Kingston HyperX 2Gb 800MHz (PC2-6400)
LG GGW-H20L Bluray Writer
Western Digital Caviar Black 640Gb HDD
Samsung 1Tb F1 HDD
Hauppage HVR-4000 DVB-S2 PCI TV tuner
Hauppage Nova-TD DVB-T PCI TV Tuner
Sapphire HD4870 512Mb GDDR5 GPU
XBox360 Wireless Controllers x2 via Crossfire dongle
Think that's it! Had a look on the Enermax site (or was that on AMD's site?) and it does state that the Modu82+ 425W can handle a HD4870, I'd rather not splash out on a new PSU as it's quite silent, although I do have a Corsair HX520W PSU I could use but would prefer to use the Enermax in this rig!
Thanks!

I think you'd be fine with that.

I'd say that that pc will draw about 150~200W at idle and perhaps 250~300W at load or so so I think your reasonably safe.

Yeah should run it no problem :)

I've found this to be useful to get an idea of what PSU is required:

A PSU calculator tends to overestimate how much power you use though but it's only about 20% more I guess.
EDIT: I guess it can still help though.

Thanks to everyone, thought it would be okay, YES! Now just need to get started on the build!

I always use 300W as the yardstick for an overclocked 3.6Ghz Q6600 with 4870 because that's about as extreme as I'm prepared to go. Good to keep that figure and those specs in your head next time you go to choose your PSU. You'll often find you need a lot less than "manufacturer's recommendations" :)
