I am looking at buying a new case as the temperatures in my current case are a bit high. My budget is around £50, and was looking at a Chieftec Dragon. The main thing I would like to know is just how effective the cooling is, and is there anything better for £50?

I have that case (same chassis anyways) - temperatures aren't really a problem. Although you'll allways get higher temperatures in Steel cases than aluminium. The airflow is good (two front to rear, one side blowhole - I use none of them).

cooling consists of two 80mm mounts at the bottom-front (one inside one of the two hard disk cages, one below), two 80mm exhausts at the back above the mobo, a 120mm side mount next to the other hard disk cage, and a hurther 120mm grill (but i can't see any mount holes) on the other case pannel near where a gfx card would go.
I hav a Dragon full tower case & I luv it. They may be heavier being steel, but imo it makes them quieter & less prone to vibration. Airflow is good as already explained & whilst not being as 'glam' as other cases in the price range they're solid quality cases.

I hav 4 pabst in mine, 2 in front & 2 in rear. Do a fine job without too much noise.
panaflos will do the job for a lot less money than papst.

Was considering getting a CWT 450W from Scan, but since I'm trying to keep costs as low as possible, just how good is the PSU that comes with the case from Komplett?
I'll be running an overclocked AMD Athlon 1800+ Thoroughbred, Abit NF7-S V2, 2x256mb PC3200 TwinMOS w/winbond, overclocked Sapphire 9600 128mb, Seagate 80gb 7200RPM and a couple of optical drives, as well as probably some additional fans.

In my experience Chieftec power supplies are of good quality. Should be able to handle what you're proposing imo. At the end of the day you can always get a better one later on if that one cant hack it & it'll giv u more time to save
for that price it would be worth looking into Antec "system cabinet" or slk3700 cases at ebuyer...they come with 350W smartpower PSUs which I think would be considered the equal or better, and with two 120mm fan mounts (one fan is included) ...think I'd prefer one to a chieftech case, just on that point.
So what's everybody else's opinion? Chieftec Dragon or Antec? I'm still leaning towards the Chieftec Dragon...
