Bah I was just going to sugest the modular corsair CX400w psu, but it seems to have dissapeared

For a good 400w psu try this one

A modular psu would be good as you don't have to have so many cables to deal with.
I can find good ones but they are all £70+ now and more power than you really need.
    eg http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/480W-...ht-power-CM-E7

For cooler, the stock one should be fine, the only real reason to replace it for you would be reduceing the noise, if you're not going to overclock then you really shouldn't be troubled.
(P.S. CAT the athlon coolers lack the heat pipes or the Phenon coolers, I'm not even sure if they have copper bases)
For a lower noise cooler you need to look at one with a 120mm PWM fan
For a low cost cooler the Xigmatek HDT-S1283 is still a good choise

What do people think of that Corsair SSD?
    The F3 + SSD combo?
SSD for OS and software (remembering no games here, so software shouldn't run into lots of gb) The F3 while not massively fast would be fine for file storage, well that's my thinking.

For a non-OS drive you might as well go for the lower £/GB of the Samsung 1.5TB F2 or Western Digital 1.5TB EADS - and the extra space could be useful if you are planning on backing up numerous Bluerays, DVDs and recording DVB-T. Given that you will not be filling your OS drive up with huge 3D games, you should be able to keep all your I/O intensive files there.

Here is a good review comparing the two drives if you are interested:

I should add, that if you are going to hold off on the SSD for now, then I think the F3 is a good choice for an economical OS drive, which will save you enough money to grab a decent SSD when they come down in price (or an extra storage drive if you suddenly find yourself going through GBs like water).
