Samsung F2 Eco 1.5Tb SMART error

    Hi,

I have a problem with my Samsung drive. Whenever I restart I get a "SMART ERROR". I then have to force a restart via the case button to get it to boot up.

I've also noticed the drive to be a bit slow, and the hard drive light will stay on for extended periords in Windows 7 and be very slow to respond.

    Any advice?

    Thanks,
    Adrian

Download latest version of SpeedFan.After install tick the "Run this program as an administrator" (right click on SpeedFan icon on desktop and select properties then Compatibility tab).
Now run SpeedFan and if you see any red marks under SMART tab for that drive, you should backup your data ASAP and get it replaced under warranty.

Just go to Samsung's website and use their hard drive utility. It will tell you far more than SpeedFan can.
