Which Mobo?
I am going to be building a new system & the mobo available to me are:
Asus P5ql pro
Asus P5ql-e
MSI p35 neo3
Also another question.
My system is going to be
Intel E6300
500GB HDD
XMS2 4GB Ram (2x1+2x1)
Radeon 4870
now my question is will Corsair CX400W run this system or not otherwise, should i buy a Cooler Master PSU or SilverStone PSU?

If you don't have any bits yet an X2 545 or X2 250,MSI 770 AM3 based motherboard and 4GB of DDR3 would probably be around the same price or slightly more while having greater performance. Even an X2 545 or X2 250 with a AM2 770 based motherboard and DDR2 RAM would also be also pretty fast if you already have some DDR2 RAM.
I would probably look at one of these two PSUs to power an HD4870:

You maybe able to get away with the CX400 or the cheaper OCZ 400W StealthXStream.

The PSU will be enough but getting the connectors will be somewhat harder.
There's not really much difference between the boards except the P35 and P43 chipset and they both overclock quite well so there's not really any difference. Just go for the cheaper one in my opinion.

The Asus P5ql-e seems to be a fairly decent motherboard for the price although it does not seem to be very good for overclocking:

However the high multiplier of the E6300 means it should be relatively easy to overclock. If you don't need virtualisation an E5400 is basically the same processor as the E6300 but without VT support,a lower FSB (800MHZ) and a higher multiplier and a slightly lower default clockspeed making it potentially easier to overclock.
Make sure that you get the newer and faster Pentium E6300 though as there is an older and slower Core2 E6300 too:

For starters you'd want a PSU from a brand like Corsair, Enermax, OCZ, Seasonic etc. Basically any of the big boy brands.
Ideally you'd then want a PSU with 2 PCI-E connectors as, IIRC, the 4870 requires 2x 6 pin connectors. However you should be fine with the original PCI-E connector (pretty much every good brand PSU comes with one) and a molex to PCI-E adapter (this should come with every 4870 but do make sure to check as some brands like to skimp out on accessories to lower costs)
400W PSUs tend to have one PCI-E connector but 400W will be enough even if you overclock the E6300 on air. If you don't overclock then you will definitely not need over 400W unless you are planning to upgrade soon down the line. If you really want to play it safe and be upgrade-proof then go for a 500W good brand PSU.
