    mATX PSU

    Hey,

I'm after a small PSU, something like this:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/350w-...4-SFX-uATX-PSU

    (that would be perfect)

but i can't find any stock anywhere

and the only other brands of mATX i can find are a bit dubious...

    Any ideas?

    Re: mATX PSU

I had exactly the same dilemma a few months back and came to the same conclusion that there was a lack of good make mATX psu's available. Then the Be Quiet psu you mention became available and I got one of those.

Not the quietest psu ever, but I guess that's because of the 80mm fan. Not bad though.

    Re: mATX PSU

Ebuyer also does stock a range of small sized Be Quiet! PSUs too but they seem to be out of stock at the moment.

This FSP unit may do the job:

There are a couple of smaller units at LinITX too:

    Re: mATX PSU

i think it's going to have to be the FSP, i'm trying to keep to 170mm square for the build, but the height of the CPU cooler is 85mm, leaving <85mm for the PSU + ODD + SDD + 2 120mm fans.

The Be quiet was nice because it doesn't look like a rats ass with a decent price tag to boot, but it seems like it is EOL.

I've emailed Listan to see what they reckon and whether they would be able to help me out.

    Re: mATX PSU

Just out of curiosity, what kind of cases fit that kind of PSU? Are they much smaller than cases that take ATX PSUs?

I think you can get small mATX cases (i.e. not the ATX PSU ones), but i'm doing a scratch build
